These are garden-style apartments. I lived on the "courtyard" side and my unit was extremely dark. I had to have a lamp on even when the summer sun was beating on the pavement because the unit was that dark. There were problems with centipedes and grasshoppers invading the apartment and it made the experience somewhat unpleasant. The community is right off the Dulles Toll Road and is across from a Metro Express bus lot that takes you directly to the West Falls Church Metro. There are two pools, although trees seemed to block a lot of the sun. The management staff could have been a little better, although I've seen a lot worse. Bottom line--choose your unit wisely. Make sure you see your exact unit before signing the lease. This apartment was okay for one year. Perhaps I would have been happier in a different unit.
