It wasn't a horrible experience, but I wouldn't recommend it. This review will tell you everything you need to know about this place though, so you should read it before you sign a lease.

Well, I have been here for 2 years now. For "Luxury aparments", these places sure are ghetto. First, I was in one of the newer buildings. I was on the 2nd floor (there are 3 floors total) and it was really noisy. You could hear the person upstairs shutting doors, connecting to the internet, going to the bathroom... Things that he wasn't doing loudly that you shouldn't be able to hear through a ceiling. Plus, I had to have maintenance come and fix a LOT of stuff. I swear, maintenance was in my apartment more often than I was. However, getting maintenance to come fix things is like pulling teeth. The people at the office are totally incompetent as well as rude. The management is TERRIBLE to the point that I can't even believe these people have jobs. So once my lease was up, I decided to switch buildings and get a top floor apartment so that there would be no one above me. I assume the insulation is no better in these buildings because I have this awful person downstairs from me that is constantly banging on her ceiling with a broomstick because I walk around. I am not being loud, she just thinks I am, but really there is no sound proofing at all. So that is a hassle. The apartment that I am in now is also ghetto. I have had to have maintenance come fix things several times, and they have all been things that should have been taken care of before I moved in. For instance, my bathub was clogged, my living room light didn't work, my garbage disposal was broken, my washer was broken, and my dryer was broken. Wouldn't you think they'd notice those things in the pre-move in "Check up" they do' So the maintenance has once again been a problem. They recently sold this place to new management, so it is now called Post Tysons Corner. I haven't had too much experience with the new management, but hopefully they are more capable of doing their jobs. They are, however, changing parking around so that there are no more assigned spots, which I am upset about because parking here would be a problem if there was no assigned parking. It takes effect this week, so I haven't had the experience of parking yet, but I think it will be a nightmare. Also, when I moved in here, I was under the impression that the workout room was open 24 hours, but it closes at midnight, so that is kind of inconvenient. Also, there used to be a security person that would drive around all night, but they have done away with that, which is not very encouraging. But they still advertise that they have a security person, even though they don't. When my lease runs out in 2005, I will be moving to a different complex. The location is great, but the prices are very high and it is not worth the money because the places are shoddily put together. Also, I realize that it is a good thing that the new management is doing construction, re-roofing and fixing things up, but it is CONSTANTLY noisy here. I liked that it was quiet and that was one of the reasons I moved in, but now it's all yelling and banging until it gets dark. That is a big drawback right now. I thought maybe it was just the building I was in, but it turns out it is the entire complex. I really wouldn't recommend it to anyone, but I don't think it was an absolutely horrible experience either. Just a waste of money and an inconvenience... So could have been worse, but should have been better.
