Going Down Hill

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003
When I moved in, this complex was excellent. Maintenance was fast and thorough. The Staff was friendly.
Sometime at the beginning of this year, things started to change. The excellent staff began being replaced with incompetent employees. The following incidents recently occurred:
1. My disposal got stopped up and the sink began to over flow. This was the 4th time in 2 months that we had this problem. However, this time someone at the leasing center forgot to switch their phones over to the emergency maintenance line, and since the leasing office was closed, emergency maintenance could not be reached, and after running around the complex for 30 minutes looking for security without being able to locate them either, we realized that there was no one to assist us. Finally, 4 hours later, we were able to locate a maintenance worker, and our problem was fixed, but not before flooding our apartment. The Lincoln did not provide anyone to clean up the mess, so we had to spend 2 hours cleaning the kitchen/den/living room. Most frustrating, the leasing center refused to apologize for their mistake or offer assistance. Instead, they chose to blame others for their incompetencies, like Verizon for not setting up the phones right, and the security company for insisting that their employees patrol on foot, making them harder to locate.
2. Maintenance now take about a week to complete a simple request. Once they do enter your apartment, they have forgotten how to clean up after themselves, and often leave wrappers and other trash on your floor.
3. Maintenance requests are often lost.
4. Leasing Office staff will give you incorrect information to save themselves the trouble of verifying. When calling to ask about the new leasing office hours, I was told that the office closes at 6 on Fridays. When I replied with ?I thought you closed at 7? I was told that because of the holiday on Monday the leasing center would close early on Friday. When I asked again for her to verify the information, she grunted and put me on hold. She came back on the phone a minute later to tell me that they do close at 7 this Friday, and then hung up without an apology or waiting for my reply.
5. The leasing office often forgets to turn there phones in during their office hours, so if you are not physically in their office, you can not talk to anyone.
I suggest that you look to live elsewhere?.
