I?m paying just over $1000 per month for a first floor 1BR in 1500 Lincoln Circle.
I spray every few weeks or when I find a new guest, particularly centipedes, which could be daily at times. I wouldn?t call it problematic, just bothersome. Also, I?ve heard that the foundation was sinking and there has been significant structural work done, which I tend to believe because there are varying gaps between the wall and the window sill at each window. I didn?t notice during my initial tour of the place because the blinds were down. I submitted 3 maintenance requests and just eventually gave up and duct taped the gaps. Maintenance would visit each time but never figured out the problem.
In general in my apartment, there are holes in the ceilings and in the cupboards that give me the impression that the place was cheaply built.
Neighbors are very quiet but the walls seem thin. From my bedroom, I can hear people coming down the outside stairs in the morning, which is generally how I wake up in the morning.
Overall, it?s a so-so place, not great/not bad. However, for what u pay in this economy, I think it is not worthwhile. Others must feel this way which is probably why the vacancy is so high. As a result of the vacancy rates, I believe, apt management wanted to charge me $6K to get out of my lease early. Ironically, a month later they sent me an eviction notice to move out in 30 days because I have an unregistered visitor staying there for the summer.
