We just left there and thank God, seriously got tired of dealing with management and all the ridiculous issues! Not to mention, cockroach problems in our complex, defective appliances, cheap cheap CHEAP carpets, cabinets, etc. the overall experience was terrible! We could go on and on about this but i'm not going to waste too much of my free time writing this review. However, when we left, we got hit with this outrageous bill and did not get our deposit back. Not to mention they recently sent us the bill for so called damages to the carpet, and THEN CALLED TO THREATEN US ABOUT SENDING THIS BILL TO COLLECTIONS! WE JUST GOT THIS BILL! NOT EVEN A MONTH! When we called back, management was stuttering with excuses saying they did not have our address, etc. I am in the process of hiring an attorney, writing to BBB of VA, and calling the Housing Department of VA about all this. We are both standout citizens and they have treated us disrepectfully. I would never in a million years stay there again. I'll a final word, my wife was pregnant and one saturday night decided to go through some things. She left an empty box on our patio since I was out of town. On monday, we recieved a written notice saying to remove that box immediately or else we would be fined. She was physically unable to bring it down to the dumpster and was waiting for me to do it. They demanded she do this! And it wasn't even two whole days! The management at Mills Trace went above and beyond to make our lives miserable there for some reason. They have over stepped the boundaries and i'm pushing all of this legally. DO NOT LIVE THERE!
