This place is awful! Everything is so old in the apartments. You would think that they would replace stuff or repair things when you move in....uh no, instead they cover up and make things look okay. Then after you move in you notices A LOT! Everyone pays a different rate. There is dog crap every where, trash piled high in front of dumpster and high grass. Oh, I almost for got there is black mold growing in the apartment...Isn't that toxic'

Dear Anonymous: I am the manager at Colonial Village at Waterford and I would like to address your concerns in a productive manner. Please contact the leasing office at your earliest convenience as it is our hope that our residents are comfortable and satisfied at our community. As you are aware, the dumpster in your photograph was only at the community for four days while the compactor was repaired last week. We, also, were not pleased that the dumspter was not removed in a timely manner and that some people opted to pile trash around it instead of using the repaired compactor. The dumpster was picked up on Saturday. Any additional information you may be able to provide in regard to residents violating the pet policy would be very helpful in addressing your (and our) concerns regarding this. Most concerning is the photgraph and your comments regarding mold. We take this concern extremely seriously as per the Mold Information and Prevention Addendum signed by all resdients at Colonial Village at Waterford. Preventing mold begins with the resident and I ask you to please contact the leasing office as soon as possible so that the discoloration apparent in your photograph is properly documented and, if necessary, treated. Failing to comply with this addendum can result in a residnet being held responsible for property damage to the dwelling and any health problems that may result. I look forward to hearing from you and assure you that we will address your concerns in a timely, professional manner. Thank you!

Yes, the dumpster was moved after several days, but this isn't a rare occurrence. Unfortunately, this happens frequently. To address the mold concern, maintenance has already come in about a month ago and sprayed/wiped down all of the window sills. The mold is coming back. I've been sick a lot over the past year. I never thought mold would make me or my young child sick all of the time.
I would love to talk to you all again about the trash, dog mess, unfair rates act., but really what's the point? I've complained several times (4xs) and nothing has happened until now. I've had to post a complaint in order to get a response out of you guys. I'll be sure to try and contact you to have maintenance spray the mold areas again.

Thank you! Once again, after letting the maintenance guys know about my apartment issues in person. They've come out ASAP to help resolve them, x4.
The sad part is that I have to go to them directly. I let them know the night before and they both were right there the following day. :) You guys are Awesome!
For example 3wks ago when my hot water heater flooded my kitchen area. I called the emergency number and at 10:30pm, maintenance was there in no time. They have also addresses the issue of people in the building across from mine who leave mail all over the ground.
Now if the grass (cut on a regular basis), dog mess (picked up by the owner of the large dogs) and unfair rates would be resolved then this place would be okay. Thanks again for your attention to this matter you guys!

I have a question for the manager who replied to the resident's post. Do you not conduct occassional rounds? If so, why have you not seen the dog $hit? You and other managers of these apartment complexes need to realize that I, and others possibly relocating to the area, are reading these reviews and can decide if we even bother to go look at the complex after reading.

Oh, you should see the dog crap around my building. You have to learn were not to walk and always watch your step. The sad thing is they (MGMNT) just lets it keep happening and do nothing about it. You should see the dead dry grass that stabs your feet if you risk walking barefoot.
Finally, all of the broken down piece of crap vehicles, trailers, ect have been toed away. It only took a year and a half or so, but hey who's counting.

I live here and like it alot. I mean there are a few concerns that I have but thats everywhere you go.And since when did managment have control of dry grass.... Maybe you should talk to the weatherman about that one and do a rain dance if you want soft, green grass. As far as the dog poop is concerned, The team is not babysitters. Im sure there are well over 300 apartments here and thats alot of people to watch. Consider talking to your neighbors about leaving the dog poo everywhere.

I can see how dog crap is a concern, however I can live with that. What I'm worried about is ending up with a nearly $200 electric bill if I want to keep the place at 69 degrees F. Having a working refrigerator is nice. Having up-to date and working landlines are nice too. Especially if you don't want to end up with dial up speeds when you have DSL.

i know one thing, after reading about the mold i wont be looking there. i would not even sign a lease stating something like that. i have to wonder if that lease would hold up in a court of law if the mold was tested and came back as one of the dangerous ones. i also wouldnt want to be stepping in dog crap!
