For the most part, the Enclave is fair place to rent an apartment but yet I would not recommend it.

First off, the building's materials are minimum quality. The place is less than two years old and yet their door handles falling off.

Secondly, there is no recycling available. I simply take my aluminum cans, plastics and etc to the dumpster that is available.

My real concern is primarily due to its telecomunications challenges. You are required to buy your Internet access, your TV service and your phone service through the Enclave. The idea seems ok but the Enclave's ability to deliver is very weak.
First, the TV service is via Dish Network. You have the options of the Dish AmericaCchoice plans ranging from 100 to 250 channels. However, there are no HD options and the additional channels are just Hispanic and music channels. More importantly, the service continually goes out when it rains. One thing that this has taught me is NOT to get TV via satellite.

On the Internet portion, the Enclave has seriously oversubscribed the Internet connection. The service is provided by Cavalier Telephone and looks to be a 512kb connection. The Enclave states that it is trying to get additional capacity but since the wiring is really owned by Verizon, that will be a long time in coming. I would estimate that the change is at least 18 months away. Verizon has no interest to make increasing the capacity a priority. I have been told that you can get a waiver from the Enclave on the Internet portion and purchase service from Clearwire.net. However, you should note that is 1.5 mb down and 256 kb up connection and it requires a 2 year agreement.

On the phone service, this works and it too is provided by Cavalier. The voicemail system is probably the most awkward to use that you can find. Even though it is a closed system, you have to dial a main number, enter your phone number and then your password. Then you to have enter multiple numbers to check your message as well as to delete your messages.

To be honest, I am not sure why the Enclave's owner, Rose Development, went with this closed system for telecommunications. The internal helpdesk struggles with supporting you with issues you might have.

As far as the staff, they are friendly and helpful but they are not empowered to make improvements at all. The Enclave is owned by Rose Development corporation so I assume that they are familiar with managing with complexes. Thereore, it is not clear to me why they chose to try become an IT shop. I doubt very seriously that this is an aggressive profit center for them and it is surely customer satisfaction killer for them. If you try to talk to them about, you will find that they are like a small child who covers their ears and says "I cannot hear you".... :-)

I hope this has been helpful.

I have lived in the Enclave since 2007, and agree with what was stated in this review. I just have an addition to what you said about the phone service. You pay for caller id, but to date I still do not have caller id. And, when you make outgoing calls it says you are "Edward Rose" (the apartment owners)and that your phone number is the main office phone number. And, in order to make an outgoing call you have to dial "9", like you do on a business phone. I think this must be a large money maker for The Edward Rose Company, they have gone out of their way to find loopholes in FCC bans to keep doing this.
