Good place to live overall

The apartment itself is great - plenty of space, with a large bedroom and a good size closet. There's an extra space for storage as you walk in the front door, which is fantastic. The kitchen has a decent amount of counter space (more than other apartments I've been in, at least), and it's nice to have a garbage disposal and ice maker.
I've only needed to call maintenance once, and they came very quickly and fixed the problem on the first try. The office staff has always been very pleasant and helpful to me, as well.
The only thing I wish I could change is the noise level. Noise between apartments on the same floor is fine; I've never heard anything that's going on in my next-door neighbor's apartment. However, I hear a fair amount of noise from the apartment above me. They may just be heavy walkers, but half the time it sounds like they're about to come through my ceiling. I can also hear their floorboards creaking, but that seems to be a common problem as there are floorboards in my own apartment that creak no matter how gently I step on them.
