It had it's ups and downs

First of all I moved there at the tender little age of 19. I was scared of living on my own and was worried about crime in the Newport News area and working night shift I was nervous people could figure that out and break in to my place when I wasn't home. However...I moved out and now I wish I never did. I am having a horrible time finding a decent place to live with little to no crime, decent looking apartments, etc.
This is why I liked it:
It was cozy. I had (some)pretty awesome neighbors. I always had my parking spot. The staff was really nice to me and they did turn in my work orders on time, all the time. There were no issues with any type of crime whatsoever that you would find across the street or a couple of streets down in other apartments. I liked the little car washing station it was convenient. The pool was nice but I don't like all the kids splashing you all the time so I just avoided that. lol
The downfalls:
Yes there is a massive loud train that rolls through at least twice a day, I lived in the 500 building and if your sitting on the floor you feel like you just put 25 cents in one of those vibrating beds. I did get used to it though. The planes are loud but what do you expect' You live by an airport and a military base there's going to be planes. Guest parking really sucked, and they will tow your ass. Like I said earlier some of my neighbors were cool, I did have one instance where one of my packages was stolen from my door step. ----- move. I would recommend having the P.O. just deliver packages to the front office. Anywhere you move this could happen though. I had a lot of problems with my AC it would go out on me all the time, I want to say that one of the maintenence people did this on purpose though because he seemed somewhat like a pervert...speaking of him..I came home numerous times and found my computer screen saver on..(my computer was set to go into standby mode after 1 hour so there should be no reason why my screen saver was on), I also came home one day and turned my TV on and low and behold BET was blaring from my TV. I NEVER watch BET EVER so I was shocked to find the TV on that channel. At that point I became very suspicious of the little maintence dude.
So like I said it had its ups and downs some things can be fixed others can't. But honestly I would just go check it out yourself. Drive in there a few times at different times of the day.

You can bet that he WAS in your apt. and I would consider getting a "nanny-cam " and placing it in every room of your apt- and make sure it is on "record". This way he will surely be arrested and fired, as this is unacceptable and illegal.
These apts are overpriced and pitifully managed.
