I moved into the apartments a little over six months ago - and I have to be honest. The best part of living here in the complex is the Property Manager Penny. She is the best and will try to fix any problem that you have on her side. She unfortuneatly does not have a say with property maintenance. If she ran both the complex and maintenance - this would be the place to live. The down side - the property maintenance here is horrible. The guys are rude and loud. You can hear them in the parking lot complaining about the tenants - when it is their fault the problems are occuring in the first place. I have had several incidents involving maintenance issues & they jimmy rig everything. I gave up complaining about the problems and started fixing things myself. I must say, I did a much better job considering my background is not maitenance. The grounds here looked good for a while, but here lately it seems they just do not care anymore. Trash blows around the property for days. The police patrol on a regular basis (you get to see an occasional drug bust here and then) - but the loitering of "wannaBthugs" is still a problem. Rent is $715 a month and the apartments are "NOT WORTH IT" for the cost.The increase in rent is to obviously drive away people and not to restore the property. The tenants that have been moving in here on my side of the property are "ghetto and rude". I guess for the area of town that these apartments are in they are trying their best to do what they can. My only problem is maintenance. Great Atlantic needs to invest some time in the selection of it employees for this property. If they simply put someone on this property that was experienced and cared about the quality of their work - this property might be something to consider.
