I lived in 403 #12. This is going to be long...My husband and I moved in on Feb 1, 2006. NOT OUR FIRST CHOICE, but we had 1 week to find somewhere to live and this has the lesser of evils. Its not TERRIBLY ghetto, but then again I guess it depends on which section you get put in. If you decide to move here, make sure you get a unit near the front of the complex. Thats where we were, so it wasnt bad. As far as crime goes, nothing really happened there, but for the first little while we lived there, we had a neighbor below us that we are reasonably sure was a drug dealer, and someone did try to break into his house one night. My other neighbor caught the guy, and believes it wasnt a random crime and that it was someone after that guy that lived there.

Maintenence WILL WALK IN ON YOU. Put a chain or latch lock on your door, because maintenence will knock and say "maintenence!" then before you can even get to the door, theyll come in. One time they came in on me as I was coming out of my bathroom wearing only a towel. Im a girl whose husband was away at sea, so Im by myself and there are strange men in my house, so what do I do' Grab my 22 rifle! I was so mad because I hadnt called maintenence, neither had my husband, and as far as I knew they were there for no reason, just hanging out in my house! Getting walked in on has happened several times, so beware!

- Parking was a NIGHTMARE. Its like theres not enough spaces for the number of units. I used to go to school at night. I would get home at about 930 and there were plently of times that I had to park up by the office and walk in the dark to my house. Unless your come home in the middle of the day, its a rare occassion that you will get to park in front of, or even remotely near your door.
- The condition of the apartment wasnt that bad. We did have the cheapest ass carpet EVER. In the whole year that we lived there, it never stopped shedding. Our vaccuum is clogged from the damn shedding carpet.
- The dishwasher was too small for the space its supposed to fit in, so there was this big gap. My cat kept going and hiding in there, so I ended up having to use tape to block it of.
- There was this gap underneath the cabinets that are mounted over the sink. Its supposed to be filled with wood, but someone had stuffed it with tin foil instead..not sure what that was all about.
- Then the oven...OMG the freaking oven. Ok the oven we had when we moved in seriously had to be the original one they put in when they built the place in '72. It was about 2/3 the size of a regular one, none of the burners would get red, and the oven never would heat up hot enough. Took us 45 min to cook a frozen pizza that shouldve been done in 10. After maintenence had already come and "fixed" a few times, it FINALLY got replaced.
- There is no dining area in the one bedroom unit. When you are in the office/model there is a separate area for your table and chairs. Not so in the 1 br units.
- Drawers in the kitchen will not fit a standard sized silverware tray, so good luck with that. We had to keep ours on top of the microwave.
- OH! washer and dryer. Just so you know, there is no laundry room/closet in the unit. When you opt to rent a washer and dryer, they bring in these "stackable" portible washer and dryer. They set it up in your LIVING ROOM so the first thing you see when you walk in the door is that. They said that was the only place safe to put it because they had the "bolt" it into the wall. "Bolt" means they put one bolt in, which slides right out because he didnt get it in the stud. I ended up moving it into my bedroom. BTW, the dryer will heat your entire house when you run it. BEWARE. Also, for those of you that dont know.."Portable" means that your washer hooks up by a hose to your kitchen sink faucet. The washer is on wheels but its such a pain to push from one room to the kitchen that it will end up staying in the kitchen forever.
- All the management are bitchy. VERY bitchy.
- OH! if you are home alot and your car stays parked most of the time, make sure to move it often, just for the hell of it, because they will try to tow it. I work at home so my car stayed parked alot, there were 3 different times where I came out of my house to get in my car and theres a big orange sticker on it saying it was going to be towed later that day. Just a heads up.
- Walls are paper thin. I got to hear my neighbor coughing and gagging all the time. When someones phone rings, you look around for yours. But its actually someones in another unit.

Hmm...ok, I think Im done now. If theres anything I havent mentioned, I'll just let it slide. lol.

i totally agree with you ive lived here for three years and it seems like it get worse so we are desperately looking for another place to live a couple of week ago by the mail boxs there was a shooting thank god he survived. and not to mention the maintence suck i had a really bad ceiling leak in the kitchen and it took them a total of four months to completely fix it and i still dont agree with the way the did this they painted kills over it and painted over it even though the ceiling was droping a little. we also had two water leaks in two seperate closets and instead of removing the carpet and repadding it they cleaned the carpet lets just say re wet it and left. The other closet was never tended to. i also had ac issues and it took me 1 year to get that fixed i fianlly threatned them with codes and compliances telling them there was mold in the ventilation and sure enough when the guy inspected it he seen that i was telling the truth and it was fixed with in days so they say they replaced all the ventilation but im still having alot of issues i could go on and on but i wont dont rent here

I just moved here. I live right across from the manager. I am not sure I like it here. There is a bratty 7 year old who lives in the building down. She went over to my one year old and pushed her down. She did that twice. My dishwasher door doesn't close the whole way, parking isn't too bad. Management isn't bad, I have seen worse. I do see drug deals happen when I go for a walk with my children but no matter where you go, you will always see that
