the "new" buildings are built poorly!

My sister has been living here for a few months now. when they first moved in, they found out that the management "forgot" to change the back door lock, so they were given a key to the front door, but not the back. because you needed a key from the inside, they couldn't use the door. to store anything out in their patio, they had to go out the front, walk all the way around their building, then go in from the back gate. when they asked for this to be fixed, it took over 3 weeks.

the next problem was the bathroom. when they were moving in, they said that because there had been a fire a while ago, these apartments had been newly re-done, so everything should be working like new.. well, seems the construction crew was paid poorly so they didn't try, because they had really bad plumbing problems.. The ceiling started leaking from their upstairs neighbor's place, and the ceiling ended up having to come down for "a while" then they had their own plumbing problem.. they finally figured out that their plumbing problem was caused by having a hair brush and piece of a porcelain towel holder shoved down their pipes.. since they are the first to live there since rebuilding, how did that stuff get there'

they also rented the mini washer/dryer stackable set from the apartment complex.. now, you'd think if they had these to rent, there'd be a place to hook them up.. well, when they rebuilt, they added the dryer exhaust spot, but decided that using the same wall as the bathroom did for water pipes must not work, so they have to wheel the washer into the kitchen (blocking the whole thing since it's so small), and hook it up to their sink. I could understand doing that if the apartment was old, but they had JUST rebuilt it! I was over one way when, because they needed to run the garbage disposal but forgot, the washing machine ended up overflowing the sink and they had a minor flood on their hands.. yes that was their own fault, but honestly.. who thinks about clearing their sink to run a clothes washer'''

Right now a window is broken in their back door, and i'ts been a few weeks without replacing it.

but hey.. they'll rent to people that can't get approved soemwhere else, so if it's your only choice, then hey.. at least you'll have a roof over your head.. (in most places).
