No linen closet, no medicine cabinet. Leaking air conditioner. Mice. Roaches. Upstairs noisy neighbors, who should've been evicted several times over. Downstairs neighbor keeping gasoline filled motor bike inside. Contacted manager, nothing effective done (the tenant was related to manager). Contacted fire department. Gasoline vapors filled the hall, and I was pregnant, and had a 1 year old. Kitchen has NO room for anything. Pool never open. Glass everywhere on the playground. Caught a man um..."releasing his tension" while watching some kids play on the playground...to put it very mildly. The manager said he was mentally challenged and wasn't supposed to come around. Dog feces everywhere outside! Never picked up. NEVER parking spaces available after 4PM

I read all these remarks, and i feel it's not a bad place, most of newport news is ghetto anyway. As far as the people that complained about noise, you live in an apartment, yes the walls are thin and since hardwood floor you can hear more things, but its not bad at all. All the writings about the roaches are correct though i hate to say, i was very disappointed when i noticed that, i moved from florida and thought i was getting away from them..at least they arent as big...havent seen mice. My neighbors are all friendly, and there is always parking. I dont feel it's worth the price becuase of the hardwood floors, the 1br kitchens are tiny only 1 person at a time can go in, and the bathroom could use a medicine cabinet. I'm happy here, one of the only places that doesnt look bad at you for having medical bills in collections..if it wasnt for this place i would have had no where to live.

I moved in march 2006, i have not seen any mice or roaches in my apartment, when ever I called management, i have gotten prompt service, the only problem I have is that management changes to quick, i haven't had any problems with my neighbors since i have been here. parking is one of my biggest complaints. I hope that all of the negative remarks I have seen was just that a few bad seeds moved in and i hope they are gone. but i so far like my place and the only reason I will be moving is because I need a bigger place. and i want to change where my kids go to High school.
