my hubby and i moved here from nebraska so we were very weary of renting an apartment out here, but chelsea is great.

nice surrounings secluded, but still close to williamsburg and newport news.

not much noise, but we all know that just depends on who lives in your building :) the only criticism i have is i think bigger mailboxes would be nice and i really dont like their "policy" that says that they can come into our apartment anytime they want, i was not told the date that i was going to be having my W&D delevered and i work nights so i was asleep in bed when two men were trying to come in to our place.

other than that i have had no problems, and they work really well with military.

it looks a bit dated but it is in a colonial part of the united states and i think its priced well because of that.

its a very safe community and has many military police that reside here witch adds even more peace of mind.

overall its a really good place to live and i will miss it.

We appreciate the great reviews! I would like to clarify our policy on entering an occupied apartment as we strive to follow all policies of our company and the VA Residential Landlord Tenant Act. We will provide 48 hour written notice if we must enter an apartment for regular maintenance or pest control. If a request has been placed or a work order we then consider this permission and enter in the order in which the reguest was received unless it is an emergency situation which would take presidence. If a request for delivery has been placed, upon that request being placed residents are given a day that the delivery will take place and a staff member will accompany the delivery company and will knock before entering the apartment. We are unable to provide a time but do our best to give our residents a ball park idea. If an emergency arises such as a water heater leak or something more serious a staff member will then enter the apartment without notice to take the necessary measures to avoid further damage to the apartment and surrounding apartments. It has never been our policy to enter at will. If this were to EVER happen, the management office should be made aware of it.
