This is a great community. I have lived here for three years and I have great neighbors and the staff is awesome. There have been a few maintance issues where they have hired some young kids that don't seem to know what they are doing - but they seem to get rid of them pretty quickly.
The apartments are a little on the expensive/small side but you are paying for the community as much as you are paying for the apartment itself. I walk my dog after dark by myself and feel safe and that is saying a lot for Newport News.
If you can afford the rent - this is a great place to call home.
