I made the mistake of renting at this place without seriously considering the following: no parking (I'm not sure where the other reviewer lives, but it's on on my street...be prepared to walk over 2 buildings if you ever come home after 7pm!; and there is no assigned parking), NO INSULATION (I can hear EVERYTHING in this place; car doors shutting, people's conversations walking outside, the leaf blowers almost EVERY morning during the spring at 8am, my neighbors), monthly "maintance" checks that are a joke (they don't even check what they came in for and I have to be home each time because of my pet), over priced to have a pet here ($300 nonrefundable fee and $35/month there after), NO KITCHEN CABINET SPACE (we had to buy cabinets just put tuppaware and silvaware away! I believe these were built in the early 70s, maybe before!), bugs, and you're close to newport news ghetto! This place NOT WORTH THE MONEY for all the hassel. Please consider these things before you sign a lease...if you want to break it you have to pay anywhere from 1 month (transfer of a job) to 3 months (other reason for leaving) rent!

Chesapeake Bay is nowhere near a "ghetto"! I know people who live there now! Drive by and see for yourself! The grounds look great to me...Give me the leaf blower over scary -looking grounds any day! Unfortunately companies have some policies WE may not like or agree with... Maybe parking and lease break options are something that should have been discussed BEFORE you moved into the apartments?
