Ok, first of all, how the heck did this place score an overall "good" rating'! Obviously staff commenting posing as residents or people that have just driven through the complex. I just moved out of there and I have to say it was BY FAR the WORST renting experience I have EVER had. The place LOOKS really good from the outside, and the model apartments are really nice, but that is about all the nice things I can say about that place. I don't even know where to start. As soon as I moved in there were stains on the carpets, the screen on the balcony was hanging off. I noted both these things on my initial walkthrough upon moving in, and of course those notes were conveniently not in my file when it came time to move out. There is barely any cabinet or counter space in the kitcken. I had a microwave and a coffee maker and that literaly took up every bit of counter space I had. The drawers in the kitchen are not even big enough to fit a silverware tray. o_O There were problems with my toilet the majority of the time I lived there. It would randomly overflow and maintenance was supposed to replace the whole toilet and they never did. If your thinking of keeping your bike or maybe a couple fishing poles on your balcony forget it. I had my bike out on my balcony and not even a whole day when by before I had a note on my door saying to remove my bike or I will be fined. My apartment was less than 500sq so its not like I had space for it in my living room, so they left me with no choice but to lock it up on the bike rack. I had TWO bikes stolen off the bike rack. And I had the cops come out and they advised management to provide a security light near the bike rack, and months later, no light. And you may be thinking you can just store things such as that in your outside storage. Their "policy" states that nothing may be placed in outside storage, that is for the water heater only, and they will surely fine you for it. If you have pets this is the LAST place you want to rent. $300 non refundable fee PER PET. And even though you have to pay $60 for carpet cleaning, prepare to still pay out the --- for stains they supposedly could not get out and then them just replacing the whole carpet anyway. If they find out you had pets in there you are financially f----d. And they never restock the poop bags or empty the trash. And don't be fooled by the "OMG your dog is sooo cute, I just love him!" when you take your dog to meet them for your pet agreement meeting. They HATE your dog, and they will bank off your pets after all the fees they will milk out of you. And as for the grounds and "features" they score an EPIC FAIL as well. I lived there a year and got to go swimming maybe 3 times(two summers). The pool is RARELY open. The lifeguards are all foreign and you can barely understand what they are saying. If it rains its closed, if its windy its closed, if you work during the day, too bad, pool closes at six. Sure management may TELL you it closes at 10pm, but I have yet to see it open even past 7 on a RARE occassion. And the hot tub was always "closed for maintenance". o_O The exercise equipment is only good for sitting on them and watching tv. Leaf blowers EVERY morning, rain or shine. You may wonder, who the heck runs a leaf blower in the middle of rain storm in summer when there are no leaves....THESE PEOPLE!!! And they even run the leaf blowers through the hallways, heck they even blow the dust that accumulated on your door overnight for you at 7am 7 days a week. And the parking...well, basiclly you just park wherever you can. There is no assigned parking. They say that visitors are supposed to park along the fence but that is never enforced. Of course there are a buttload of handicap parking spaces right up front but there arent even any handicap people in my building! And when I was moving it was the worst. I had to park down by the next build along the fence and carry all my stuff down 3 stories. Well I think I could go on and on about that place. Just don't trust everything management says in the beginning. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS place!!!!! And don't fall for any of their "deals". And for any of you people that might consider commenting on my review saying that every place has "policies" and I need to get over it, you can go f--k yourself...or better yet, just go live at Chesapeak Bay Apartments. Have a nice day! :)
