I lived in this complex for a year with several room-mates. We had an upstairs 3 bedroom, and the only continuous problem was the parking situation. Granted we were teenagers, and we had our parties, but the cops never came to ours because we weren't loud and obnoxious. We never took up too many spaces because our guests tended to pile into the back of a pickup and use one car. We lived above a newport news police officer who became a great friend of ours. ANYWAYS, I NEVER saw a roach. Not once. The hallways had bugs, and the laundry rooms did too, but never saw a thing in my apartment. The ceiling did leak, but its an old complex with a flat roof. They repaired every leak with no problems, quickly and efficiently. There were maintinence people on the roof several times, but really theres nothing you can do to fix that problem short of replacing the entire roof with a non-flat one. The management and office staff were ALWAYS nice, Teresa is wonderful. The pool was always open unless it stormed outside, and it was CLEAN! They kept the grass cut, the sidewalks clean, everything was in good condition. I'd definitely consider renting here again. If you have roaches, get off your lazy bum and clean your house before you go blaming others for your problems. If management was mean to you, you probably friggin' deserved it.
