My biggest problems were parking and maintenance. There is only one section of the complex that has enough guest parking and that's because there are only buildings on one side of the street. My roommate and I spent many a night hiking up and down the street. We worked some late nights and one cold night in January at 4am I got home to find absolutely ZERO visitor spaces available. I drove around twice to be sure and then I parked in our assigned spot. He got home after 6am so people had left for work by then, but if we had come home at the same time one of us would have been parking at the In-Town Suites outside the gate and walking! Unacceptable.

As far as maintenance goes, we had our kitchen and bathrooms upgraded the month after we moved in. The quality of work was sloppy. The kitchen bar was lopsided and there were sections of counter (on the backsplash) missing or improperly sized. The doors to the washer/dryer were also knocked out of their track and I couldn't figure out how to put them back on (they may have been broken, I gave up trying). I documented all of these things with management so they wouldn't try to blame it on me. Later, they "upgraded" the plumbing throughout the complex. My shower was a mess - the bath faucet was completely hanging out of the wall and I think they left the old faceplate behind the new one on the temperature knob, which was also loose. A few days later I had a significant leak overnight and I told maintenance to fix the shower problem at the same time, but nothing was done. None of these problems were exactly life-threatening but for the rent I paid ($981 for a 2br/2ba) I expect that kind of thing to be addressed when I contact management or maintenance.

Office staff was usually pleasant but often unhelpful. They don't seem to communicate well. It took the manager several weeks to return phone calls at times, thanks to her vacations which left the other staff helpless. Getting them to answer the phone was also a challenge.

I didn't have any bug problems and never saw a roach, thank god. We did have some loud neighbors and an extremely obnoxious barking dog next door, but I can't blame that on the complex. Overall I was very very glad to be leaving at the end of my lease period.
