We signed a year lease but this place sucks so bad, we decided to find another place to live and pay rent at two locations, just to get out of here. Management only hires stupid teenage girls to run the office-they're so wet behind their ears, they couldn't find their a**holes with a rake. The actual manager is worse off. Forest Lake is a "Gated Community" that has none of these features to offer you. The gate is always broke and the lake is hardly a lake, at all-it's a toxic waste dump. We paid xtra for a lakeview apartment, when all we got was a view of a landfill. The same trash has been sitting in the lake since we moved in about 9 months ago-they don't have anybody that comes out to do any maintenence on it-it's a death trap for wildlife!!!! The actual apartment was nasty when we moved in-no attempt to clean the carpets were made until we decided to do it ourselves. On a warm day, you can smell all of the animal urine that's been marinating in the carpet for God only knows how long. There's no heat in winter and no AC in the summer. The only thing maintainence did for us, was put coolant in the unit but a day later, we were back to the same thing. Which brings me to another point: the maintainence crew. Why does our maitainence man look like a perv' He's big and dirty and doesnt know how to fix a damned thing. The shower didn't have any water pressure-several of attempts were made by maintainence to fix it, and again, we were forced to take matters into our own hands and fix it ourselves. Ants are terrible in the spring and summer-and the problem isn't outside, it's inside. The parking situation sucks as bad as the people that work for this apartment complex. One space per unit and probably a total of 20 visitor's spots scattered around the entire complex. Get ready to walk a mile just to get to your place and forget about having people over. There are a lot of young military people that live here and like to party all of the time. Aside from them, you also have a lot of disrespectful ghetto people that live all over the complex-it's almost like living in section 8 housing. All in all, Forest Lake just plain out SUCKS and should be shut down. AND THEY WANT YOU TO PAY THEM A NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT THAT THEY PROBABLY JUST GIVE TO THE GIRLS IN THE RENTAL OFFICE TO GO SHOPPING WITH.
