My family is 1 week away from being out of this nightmare and thank god! Since we have been here there has been nothing but problems. When you drive in the complex at and around the circle you see landscaping and mulch. But drive past the 3rd buildings in and its dirt around the trees and the buildings are in need of paint. They show two pools but in fact 90% of the time only the one in the back is open and dont think about taking your kids there because there is a bunch of drunks hanging out in the pool drinking, cussing and making out. Our AC unit broke and left water all inside the little closet it is in and made a huge puddle of water on my carpet in the hall. I called maintance and he ACTUALLY REFUSED to come out. Said it could wait until monday. Then they never came monday until i had to call and scream at the office ladies about the issue of which they said for ME to come and pick up the heater to dry up the carpet. Now due to the water damage there is mold all inside the little closet and it was all on the wall that was soaked...of which after my complaint the maintnance came out and painted over the black mold on the wall. Its still there and inside the closet has yet to be touched.
Dont get me started on this Mosaic or whatever the crap is called. They claim it to be Satellite/internet company but over 90% of the time you cant even get the internet to work, and it is far more expensive then what we were paying for cox cable. And if you went to the office for help on the issues of the company THEY FORCED residence to get they just push some pamplet with the number to the company on it and say they dont know you will have to call a rep. Now they are realizing so many people are leaving and not resigning their lease so they are begging for residence to write a letter of complaint about mosaic so they can fight them in court. So now basicly because it hurts THEM (forget the residence) they are wanting to do something.
Oh and the alarm system they rave about...listen, i am a police officer and i can tell you that mine as well as many people out here have had their alarms go off (i let mine go off just for curiosity after the gentleman behind me had his apartment get broken into) for 20 minutes or more and NOT once is a call made by 911 or the alarms monitoring company....BECAUSE ITS NOT MONITORED! Wow imagine that. The only system monitored is the office....go figure.
The TWO GATES they show never work.....and the tennis court has a huge hole in the side because of little trouble makers cutting into the court and then the maintenance being to lazy to fix it. They have 1 dumpster for the whole complex that is either gone or full. So people have to leave trash all on the stairs...yet the complex goes nuts on you if you leave one trash bag at your door for a hour because you dont feel like make the mile hike to throw it in the dumpster. We have lived in apartments and i know you will have problems but this was by far the worst experience ever. Best advice is to keep looking.
