we moved blindly to river mews due to late orders from the military and had no choice. the rent is fair but was raised 40.00 after 1 year. maintenence is ok, i just dont like the fact there are new people every month nad they look like they just got out of jail. the few times ive called they came with in a day or 2 but....they would come very early in the morning adn if you cant hear your door cause your on a 2nd floor apartment they just come in. i have been caught jsut coming out of the shower or in bed by strange men. i made several complaints adn told them no one was to come in with out calling first and that need was never met. when i first moved in the deadbolt didnt work nad it took 3 weeks for them to come fix it even though it was a security issue and should have been fixed in 24 hours. ive had tons of heating adn cooling problems that never seem to be fixed. maintenece loves to do routine inspections which always happen to be when your out of town, in my case i asked for no one to come in if i wasnt home and in the lease it says they cant unless its an emergency. air filters arent an emergency. the office staff is professional but there is 1 person who is always rude!!! as for saftey'' well ive had problems with crowds of 100 surrounding my cars and front door, and being a military wife alone a lot i dont leave at night! the noise is unbearable becasue of inconsiderate people, with the loud parties and cars. parking is a joke cause the office has to call in a tow, so if its after 6 pm too bad you have to walk from 3 lots away! the appliances could use some updating since the oven handle fell off and i was burned up and down my arm ( it wasnt a saftey issue according to main. you can hear everything throu walls adn floors. and...you have to drive your stinking garbage to the compactor which is the only 1 on the property. mail boxes are on the other side of the complex and you have to drive over to them. i can say the place was spotless when i moved in which was nice. i cant stand the noise, and the feeling of living in the ghetto when i pay this much for an apartment. i will never live in a complex this large ever again. oh and when you have orders to leave they will charge you a full months rent and 200 re renting fees even though its not in the lease. and the kicker which makes no sense is your 30 day notice starts after the next months rent! good way to screw you out of a months rent! and there is no prorating on your last month! drive through at night on a weekend and see what youll be living with!! YEA theres something called the military clause, they house military at a cheaper rate but NEVER MIND THAT... Who cares that the landlord has to pay the expense to clean your apartment once you move 3-4 months later.... the SCRA is the law so I don't feel sorry for the lease break fee, maybe uncle sam should compensate you for having to break the lease. It seems fair.

Who pays the military people who have to go a year without their spouse or the fact that they are risking life and limb for your freedoms for very little pay. If you think just b/c we get compensated for all these issues with not having to pay a lease breakage then you are highly mistaken. Come to our side of the military as spouses and see how it truly is. Everyone has freedom of speech but they very rarely know how to effectively use it, instead using it to degrade something you haven't a clue about.
