I agree maintenance is quick and friendly, but the office staff on the other hand are not. And the apartments are actually not that old. They were built in the early nineties so they are somewhat cheaply made to only be not even 20 years old. My floors lean and sink in in places, everything creaks, you can hear your neighbors walking and talking in the apartments beside you. And half the time the pool isn't even open. At least it wasn't last year.

Honestly I'm not going to say that I'm a clean freak, because I do tend to be messy. But we haven't had any ant problems and I heard more gun shots when we lived in the closer to menchville high school. All I'm saying is to be objective and only take some of these negative reviews with a grain of salt. I've moved about eleven times total and we've had bad ant problems everywhere EXCEPT river mews. Just trying to put a positive experience out there too. I don't know what your husband was spraying but try raid next time.

The ant problem does not happen everywhere. I am a clean freak and my husband even sprayed non stop inside and outside and the ants continously came back. I only lived there a year and I will never go back. the neighborhood is not quiet either. wait until you start hearing the gunshots - and they're not coming from Fort Eustis, they are coming from the ignorant people who don't care if children are outside playing. It's dangerous.

they were built in 1986 phase one and 89 phase two
