Unless you enjoy the sound of police and fire trucks, gun shots, shotty maintenance and bad neighbors, this is not the place for you. During my time there I have experienced more than my fair share of incidents that made me write this review. First, the maintenance was very slow or non-existant. It got to the point where I was doing most of my own maintenance including patching holes in ceilings, exterminating roaches and mice, fixing toliets,and cleaning the hallways. The laundry facilities are hideous, the floors were soaked and dirty. I've witnessed the trash cans and a house adjacent to the property being burned. The UPS delievery truck got shot up and even my own apartment as well. The grounds get trashed every weekend and the neighbors are loud and ignorant. But the worst thing was when my apartment got shot up. I was getting ready for work that morning. As soon as I entered the bathroom, shots flew in through the window. It was by the grace of God that I'm still here today. I immediately reported the incident to the Newport News Police Department and the rental office. The rental office did nothing about the shooting. I had a board over my window for over a month and the bullet holes that were present, I had to patch up. In fact, there is still a bullet lodged in the living room hall, one heck of a housewarming gift for the next tenant.
