Do not let yourself be tempted by the attractive grounds and apartments. The apartments are all 20 years old and have had little to no major repairs/replacements.
My apartment has the original AC and has stopped working four times...I've only lived here two and a half months. I also had a leak in my apartment that took over two weeks to fix.
Even though large portions of my carpet was soaked and then smeared with the glue they used to fix the leak none of it has been replaced. It wasn't bad enough that the carpeting was already 20 years old, now I'm left to wonder what might be growing underneath it.
The office staff is horrible and completely useless. There is only one employee that will take the time to help and she only works part time, the other two would rather ignore your presence than help you.
Customer service is wretched. Maintenance request calls get no response, until (and if) they deem it necessary to actually fix the problem. Even when I specifically ask to be contacted there is no response from either the office staff or the maintenance people.
Also, from what I've seen they in no way enforce any of their pet policies - for either number in an apartment or breed restrictions. So if you're afraid of violent dogs like Pit Bulls, this is not the place for you--even one of the maintenance men owns one.
I am not even sure I've had a fully functioning apartment for half of the time that I've lived here. Spring House is obviously more worried about keeping the grass mowed and the lake pretty than pleasing customers. It's really too bad the rating system on this site doesn't offer a "no star" option.
