When I first moved in here i thought i was in heaven compared to were I moved from.
We had police officers monitoring the property constantly after five p.m.
every night until the next morning.
The cops disappeared after about a month.
They advertise a pool and fitness room neither of which is near completion even though that is why I moved here.
Parking is horrible.
I will say that maintenance is wonderful they are friendly and they double check to make sure that the tenant is satisfied with the work.
But I will say some of these companies they have to come in to do work do a horrible job.
Not to mention they spend so much time trying to make the outside pretty, but they tell us that they are short on maintenance men.

You are crazy. Parking is wonderful, and if your only real complaint is them not having a pool or a fitness room then join Ballys. Townes of Jones Run has NEVER advertised a pool or fitness room so get your facts straight!!!!!!!!!

No I didn't move here only for the pool or fitness room I moved in because of the police patrolling the area. And I do not believe you were with the leasing agent the day I met with them to know what was said during the course of my lease signing. The area you park in might be wonderful but to each his own that is not my case. Further more if I wanted to spend more money to join a gym I am well aware of my options. Have a great day!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The purpose of the police in the complex was to patrol to make sure nothing was happening so get it right. Its not about complaining either, its about the place doing what they say. You obviously just moved in and they did not inform you that the police presence was to make us feel safe considering we live in between several high crime apartment complexes.

You can come and move in with me and yes I just moved here and I'm a Newport News Police officer and no we don't have to be here 24/7 other people have real emergencies and we don't have to come a babysit because we are not contracted security if that is what you want then you might want to suggest that with the rental office to hire a contracted security officer.

I would say that they are pretty nice townhouses for the price. For the price it's hard to as much storage space as these apartments have. Yes, certain lots have HORRIBLE parking, but certain others have decent parking. The fitness center is now completed. I feel safer in this neighborhood than I would in a lot of other neighborhoods nearby.

I came on here to check out the over all safety of this neighborhood, as I have relatives that just moved in. I live in Va.Beach and every night on the news, I'm hearing all the crime, the shootings, especially the recent child being shot and worry if my family is safe in any part of this city. And to you Mr. Newport News police officer, I hope you are keeping your eyes and ears open in this neighborhood, whether you are contracted security or not, you took an oath to protect and serve the community.

Moving out of this place.....horrible maintenance service....i had a broken back door that i called about for a month and they never came to fix it, and then because of people leaving their garbage containers in the commons my house was overun with maggots..it was so bad they were literally crawling under the door that was never repaired. I called the emergency line and was told that hundreds opf maggots crawling into myu house was not an a emergency and so because of that my family was forced to spend the night in a motel. the next day i the maintenance people checked it out, looked under our rotting carpet from water coming in from the broken door and saw that the maggots were all living under the carpet. The next day the carpet guy came and just retacked the carpet, didnt clean it out, didnt pull it up to completely see the extent of the infestation, just simply retacked and went his way. Two days later i ran into my old neighbor who was mysteriously asked to move into another house, and was actually forced by the JOnes Run to pay 53 dollars for the movers to move there stuff(ridiculous), and he informed that the reason they were asked to leave was because they had black mold in their apartment.....i have a connecting wall and was never informed about any of this. After that i put in my 60 days notice and left. Do not deal with this place and cheaply put together, over-priced apartments...1,000 dolars for 914 square feet is insane.
