When my husband was stationed at Ft Eustis, we looked at several apartments in the NN area and this was by far the best. Others looked nice on the outside but turned out to be low income housing, or were in what we later found out were not the best areas to live in. The Trellis has a military discount when you use direct deposit, which is great. We had to rent a washer and dryer and it was a top of the line front end loader. The front staff is very helpful and the courtesy cops are as well. I had a problem with druggies living under me making noise and having people come and go all night, and they were gone in 2 weeks. There is also a good walking area and a nice little playground. However, it is pretty small and there is zero storage. One linen closet in the living room and that's it! We have been here for over a year and still have boxes stacked in the bedroom. Also there is no deck or patio. You have to go out to the front of the building to get some air.
