The past 5 years Waterman's Crossing has gone from a great place to gutter. In the past 8 months I've drawn my .45 automatic twice in confrontations at my front door. I'll be moving at the end of my lease (which can not come fast enough).

When I moved here in 2002, it was excellent. The facilities were first-rate, the folks at the Office seemed always available and nice. I didn't mind paying a premium.

However, every month since, it has gone down hill. Don't get me wrong, I'm a young modern guy...but damn. Part of the problem is the Mall next door (it's out of control). Hang out in the Patrick Henry Mall for one evening, and you'll see the general population that will be hanging around your property later that night. The property sits between the mall, and a public basketball court, so you can figure-out the rest.

It used to be mainly professionals, and military officers...now it's overrun with 6-8 member "families" (more like 6-8 low-income friends sharing rent, playing loud music and parking in your reserved space).

The private pool on weekends looks like an inner-city park, as apposed to a quiet getaway just a few years back. The tennis courts are becomming a local skateboard park.

Since they stopped the roaming security, cars get broken into nightly.

The management is non-existant. Maintenance is still good, but you'll never find the office open when you need it.

I live here to and you could not have said it better. The staff is now so uppity. What I can not get over is how you had money to redo the area in which you work and we can not have security to stop breaking in our cars. We do not have the right to rent out the clubhouse anymore, nor the apt that was here for guest. I was told that the property manager had previous bad experiences and we were being put into a category before our chance. I have been here over 8 years and believe me it is gone to gutter.

It's close to everything and work, but for the price I may be looking around. They raised the rent slightly to $950 for 2 bedrooms 2 bath. It seems dated and needs renovation. There is a similar apt building in Kiln Creek, but it looks like its too close to the airport. I don't like to hear jets.
