I don't even live here.. my boyfriend does.. but I know this place SUCKS! He lives in a new apartment.. everything is breaking (walls.. dryer.. mold on windows etc). The office staff's way of communication is by rubberbanding papers to your door.. dumb. The staff is so rude.. my boyfriend has had several instances where they say he didn't pay rent.. and he did.. they've tried to charge him late fees etc. They fined us once.. for a glass bottle.. that happened to be a beer bottle.. sitting on our balcony that we were using for an ash tray. They fined us $50. Its called REUSING.. NOT TRASHHHHHH! We got a 2 warnings for things on our balcony.. a cooler that was drying out.. and a small table that they said was not patio furniture. Dumb. Then my boyfriend didn't pay the fine for the bottle .. because we didn't know when it was due etc.. they took $50 of his rent and put it toward the fee and then charged him for a late rent payment(10% of rent.. 90 some odd dollars).... plus the $50 that was gone from the rent for the fine. He got the late fee removed.. and payed the stupid fine.. and then he gets orders from the city of Newport News/a lawyer to go to court on Oct. 11 for late/nonpayment.. goes to the office.. they are rude.. and they tell him that the paperwork went through before he made the payment.. bull. THEN.. there's parking.. not enough spots.. Ive known of people parking in Office Depot or whatever it is.. across the street and walking.. absolutely rediculous.. now not only do tenants have the power to tow.. so does the management if they catch YOUR guest in YOUR assigned spot. ANNND.. my car which is registered in PA.. got a towing sticker saying "NO NC INSPEC".. went to the office .. it wasnt them.. called Bill's towing.. they said it wasn't them.. SOMEONE (IE BILLS TOWING!) put that sitcker on my car.. for expired North Carolina stickers.. and I have a car from PA!! The lady at the towning company hung up on me at least 5 times.. it was REDICULOUS. All I can say is.. DON"T DO IT!!! Don't live there. I promise.. you'll hate it immediately! I even called the property manager about parking.. and all she said was "we are taking one step at a time.." How about.. you make more parking space.. duh. Ugh..
