I've lived here for about a year and a half and I can't think of a single reason I would ever recommend this community to anybody. There is no grace period on rent, I have been charged a late fee on the 2nd of many months. At their own whim they will issue fines for "violations" they feel detract from the community's "curb appeal". Speaking of curbs, they're lined with cars because most of the residents don't have their own parking spot, and there aren't enough visitor spots to go around. My neighbor often parks at the office supply store across the street because it's as close as he can get to his apartment when he comes home from work in the late evening. This building was brand new when I moved into it, the door knobs have all come loose within a year of normal use. Door frames are cracking. The toilet leaks out the back unless you hunch over a little bit. The kitchen is too small, the fridge doesn't fit in the spot they put it in, the laundry room door can only open about 45 degrees. The pantry is a nightmare to store foodstuffs in, especially spices; all the shelves are wire and not conducive to small containers. When I first moved in there was a kind of gunk on the floor of the kitchen that took hours of scrubbing with steel wool and goo gone to get rid of.

Only reason I haven't moved out is because according to their lease, I'll have to continue to pay rent whether I live here or not until my contract is up.

if you hate it so bad why have you been living there for a year and a half? there is only a 1 year or 6 month lease...so you signed a lease for the place again? doesnt make since. you obviously like it enough to keep living there.
