Never Never Never again

Where to start, my husband and I needed a place in a hurry. The apartment upon arrival was satifactory, however, after a few weeks things began to change. The rain began and so did the flooding. There are litterally swamps of mud all around the apartment every time it rains. Mold continues to grow on and around the windows, and the walls. We have a three bedroom because of children, and the two childrens rooms smell largely of mold. I put the notice in writing about the mold, maintenance came in and said, "its just a stain". Yeah right, I have three children all under the ages of 7, I know what a stain looks like and that is no stain.
Upon moving in we had issues with the dryer taking 2 to 3 hours to dry a load of laundry. The responce from maintenance was that I put to much in the washer and that is why the dryer took so long. The problem continued until finally they replaced the washer and dryer, it only took 4 months. Turned out that the washer was not spinning correctly, and the dryer was shot. Go figure. Another problem was that every time I would run the washer, and the dishwasher, and they would do the same upstairs the yard would flood. In order to fix the piping they had to dig up the floor in one of the bedrooms. They had to replace the piping because of a clog. they tore the floor up on a Monday, replaced the pipe, but did not return until two days later to cement the floor back in. It took another two days for them to fix the large gaping holes in the wall that they created. The wall still hasn't been repainted. Oh yeah I forgot to mention that they brought the cement in through the window in that bedroom. There are large chunks of cement on the wall, and the windowsill. Recently during a warm day I tried to get that window to open and guess what, I had to chissel it open. We have only been here for about 5 months, and are already looking for a new place. The last straw for this place was the damn mold. My sons asthma keeps flairing up and maintenance continues to say that it is only stains.
Not to mention one final thing is the neighborhood children. Some parents do not seem to care what their children do, and as a parent myself this concerns me. I have found neighborhood children hitting my children, and others in the neighborhood and then acting as if they did nothing wrong. When you go to the parents homes to say something the parents are never around. If you complain to the office you don't get anywhere either.
