The apartments are big and the neighborhood is relatively safe to a point. Maintenance is on the ball and the office ladies are SO nice. That's why I'm so sad to say that I'll be leaving shortly. Despite the above, the apartments are really old and run down. I have had constant problems since day one.

1. Upon moving in, I realized that whoever lived there before me had a cat. This cat had urinated in the living room. Instead of replacing the carpet, they lifted it up and cut out the padding where the cat urine was.

2. When I went to use the stove I noticed it looked a bit run down. I went to turn it on and it caught on fire. They replaced it.

3. Due to the fire, I found out that the smoke alrm didn't work. They replaced it.

4. I went to load dishes into the dishwasher one night and the dishwasher fell out. They came in and rehooked it.

5. I turned the heat on one morning and heard a pop a few minutes later, and then began to smell smoke. When I opened the door where the heater was it was on fire. I immediately turned off the heat and the small fire went out on its own. They had to come in and replace the wiring.

6. I now currently have water damage in my master bathroom. The celing is soft and sagging.

7. I have also found water damage in the dining room in two corners on the floor.

8. Two small things....one of my son's outlets was exposed. They came in and put a cover on it. I found that one of the windows in the living room didn't have a lock on it. Scared me to death since I live on the first floor.

9. There was also a shooting in the neighborhood.



I wish none of this would have happened because I would have liked to stay. Maintenance came to the rescue every time something went wrong. They were quick and sufficient. However, I have to think of my son's safety, and I just do not feel safe here. If you can afford to spend a little more, I suggest going elsewhere.
