In the begining this seemed like a nice community to live. Little did I know that my husband and I signed a lease from HELL! The off ice people were terrible to us, on several occasions! The first thing that happened was, the apartment we got, was nothing like the model! The kitchen cabinets were a WRECK! The carpet was horrible! Just awful! Getting anything fixed, was like an act of congress! It took FOREVER! My roof one night spilt open and five gallons of water spilled out of the wall, from the air condition not being cleaned. I was 7 months pregnant in the middle of August, when our air conditoner cut off! The outside tempature was 85 degree's the tempature of my aprtment was above 95. At 85 degree;s according to Virgina law they must come and fix it ASAP and they did not! After my husband called SEVERAL times explaining I was 7 months heavily pregnant! The final straw came though when my husband was deployed and I was 8 months pregnant. I went to Georgia to be with family. The office knew this and I left 2 numbers they could reach me at, should any problems occur. Well KNOWING we were gone they claimed we didn't pay our rent and they began the eviction process. I had a friend checking on our apartment while we were gone and informed me of what ws going on! I call them up and ask why did we have an eviction notice when we did indeed pay our rent and why wasn't I contacted when they overlooked that we payed our rent through allotment! They were rude to me, they even hung up the phone on me and wouldn't take my calls b/c they knew they had screwed up! We had been paying by personal check but we switched to allotment and they had forgotten that! I was livid, and the worst part is we never even got a formal appology! The staff is RUDE! The nice people they once had working there, no longer do, and it just sucks! I seriously suggest you look else where!
