The place stinks...

My family and I lived in Archers Green from September 2008 to September 2009.
Where we lived...was next to a smelly swamp and the trash was always overfilled and flowing over.
The first night there, our van got towed for no parking pass...but no one else ever got towed for the same reason.
Maintenance is slow and sloppy, and leave without cleaning there mess.
They do not understand the military clause...my family had to stay in the apartments because we could not break the lease, went through military and outside law.
My car was broken into by a neighbor and the apartment staff and police would not do anything about it.
Parking is really packed and is not suitable for friends...due to lack of parking.
The water is shared with the complex...so your water bill can range from $40.00 to $70.00 easily.
And yes your deposit may be only $300.00, but there regular fees add up to $185.00 and then there is the water bill and anything else that has to get fixed.
So if you are looking for slum apartments...pick these people.
And they do not rush to charge a late fee, but they take forever to cash you rent check.

Wow, first of all. I am military and this is my second time living here. I have deployed and come back. This is the TOP choice in this area and the only place I will live! They verified my orders through Navy housing when I deployed last time, as well as my shipmates that lived here too. The only way they are not going to accept orders are if the Housing office tells them not to. If you try to use fake orders or old orders, why would you expect them to accept them?
As for move-out charges, I got most of my deposit back the first time. Yes, I had a water bill taken out too but that was because the bill was due after my move-out. Common sense was it would be applied to my deposit. Otherwise, clean your apartment and you can expect to get your money back!

I agree with the above resident. They are actually my neighbor and when they told me about this ridiculous post I felt the need to say something to. I, for one, highly recommend Archers Green. The office staff and maintenance staff alone make your living here well worth it. They are very friendly and more than helpful. The staff even reaches out to the apartment community and they get involved with us here (which now and days is something you rarely find). The office staff is always sending out updates and keeping everyone informed on what is going on as well. They treat everyone with respect and do not discriminate in any way. Even though the apartments are older (i think they were built in the 1940s or somewhere around there) they are still very well maintained and kept up with extremely well. The landscaping is gorgeous and always taken care of at all times of the year. You have very friendly neighbors as well, which always makes it more "home" like. I have lived her for almost a full year now and they have not let me down at all. They keep to their word and truly do whatever they can to help you out if they are able. As far as security goes I have never heard of any problems or even seen a cop car out here for that matter. It is very quiet here, very peaceful. A lot of people here even go for walks around the community and everyone starts to get to know each other. This past August they even did a community pool party and they cooked out for all of us. Just everything thus far has kept me happy and wanting to stay here. When it comes to maintenance they always cleaned up after themselves, so if it was messy it is probably just because you kept your place dirty and are trying to blame it on everyone else just as you did everything else. As far as parking goes there is in fact parking for guest, just not in the actual parking lots because DUH...its FOR THE RESIDENCE. So the only problem you could have is just you in general not knowing how to park in a parking space because there are plenty of them. I am truly very pleased with living here. It is more than just a apartment community...it is a home.
