Eh

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008
Me and my husband have lived here for almost 9 months now. I don't really think this is a terrible place to live, but it's not great. The office staff is absolutely wonderful and have always been nice to us. The apartments themselves aren't too bad, but have their issues. We have a one bedroom, and it is fairly small. There are only three windows to the entire apartment, and two of those won't open. Our toilet is finicky when flushed, sometimes it flushes, sometimes it takes a couple times or even a plunger , (which luckily they provide lol) We've never had a problem with maintenance, they have always gotten to us within the day or then next. Our AC wouldn't work one day, it ended up being about 90 degrees. I went to the office at about 9 that morning, and they got around to it at about 6 that night because ours wasn't the only ac that had broken down that day. Parking is assigned, which either can work in your favor or not. My husband goes to work each day, as do many of the other tenants. He is constantly coming home to people randomly parking in our spot. The guest parking is a pain in the butt. Whenever you have guests, they have to park in guest parking with a rearview mirror tag that has the date that they are going to be there and our apartment information. The biggest problem with parking we have is: the area we're in has parking facing the buildings. Their parked cars are maybe a car length away from each other. It's not bad normally, you learn to maneuver out easily enough. But SO very often, people like to park in between the parked cars thinking it is a parking space, blocking (depending on the size of the vehicle) at least 4 cars in. Ours, being one of the four normally. The pool, though I haven't been to yet, has very weird hours. We live right beside it, so we hear all the kids' screaming and playing. I hear more from outside than my actual neighbors though. I don't know if I'm just blessed with good neighbors, or the walls aren't that thin. The bugs are a problem, we have roaches and spiders. We see them on the walls a lot. Another sad thing is the pet deposit/fee. It is $200 fee and $200 deposit to have a pet here. We had to leave our dog back home with my family because we couldn't afford the extra $400 to get him here. Anyway, this isn't a terrible place, I've seen worse. I don't regret moving here, but we will be moving when our lease is up.
