the good and the bad of it...

Me and my husband first moved into a one bedroom apartment at Breezy Point.

It was very clean and nice.

It is gated, basically you put in a code and the little gate thing goes up to let you in.

There was brand new carpet put in, and the staff was great.

We had no problems with our neighbors, they were always quiet.

But the grounds keepers were another story, quite a few times a weedwacker would wake me up a little after 7 a.m.

One other bad thing was our mailbox key would always get stuck.

And there was only one washer and dryer for each seperate building.

We moved into a 2 bedrm and that's where it got worse.

The carpet was disgusting, it really should have been replaced long before we got there.

ONe key we had didn't work either look, the other only one, and I called about five times and never was it fixed, and we lived there for 6 months.

And the tenants below us were very loud.

One warning there are a lot of young teenagers and sometimes the noise level can be unbearing, music blaring late at night or sometimes very early.

And the parking should be assigned.

When we were at the 1 bedrom the parking lot was big so it was no problem, but some of the 2 bedrms have horrible parking, (ours for example) we usually ended up parking at the next buildings lot b/c there were not enough spaces for the # of apts in the building.

Overall though the grounds were nice, the buildings nice and apts okay.

Except right outside the complex was kind of ghetto and the young kids could get loud at night. The bathrooms could be a bit larger though.

I suggest looking the apartment over first, and if you really don't like something (like the carpet) request it be replaced prior to moving in.

rent for 1 bed was $565, and 2 bedroom $640.

deposit based on credit, ours was bad and we paid $200, so not to bad.

Oh and beware, we had our car towed when we first moved in b/c we had not received a sticker yet and had to shell out over $100 to get it back.

So make sure you et a sticker right away, and when guests come make sure you have a tag to hang on their mirror, or they will get towed.
