Not worth the money

Crystal Lake apartments are not worth the money. They are constantly going up on the rent but not doing a darn thing to improve the apartments whatsoever. The apartments have old washer and dryers, refrigerators, and stoves. They are so money hungry. The maintenance has improved somewhat. The new office manager is very pleasant unlike the one before her. She was soooooo rude and unpleasant. She obviously had problems in her personal life and took them out on the residents whcih I don't think is fair. I hear that she still works for the property but is a floater. When I moved in, I had a time-restraint due to other things I had to take care of but I should have taken more time to scope the place out. First of all, they never replace the carpet which is very unsanitary to me. The walls had holes in them from the previous residents. The walls were also not painted like I was told they were because they had kool-aid stains on them. It took almost two months to even almost get anything fixed. I can say that things have improved somewhat but I just can't get over them constantly raising the rent but not improving the apartments at all! One good thing is I haven't had any experiences with crime or bugs. I have been here for almost a year and I have only saw about four bugs in the apartment. Jack's towing will tow your car or your visitor's car in a heartbeat so BEWARE!!!!! Apartments are very spacious but also very old. Do the positives outweigh the negatives' You be the judge.
