I made an appointment to visit the leasing office and view apartments. Upon arriving the front desk person told me that agent would be with me shortly. I waited approximately 30 minutes or longer and then a woman that had been socializing with desk clerk asked if she could help. She had been standing at desk entire time conversing in a personal conversation. Very rude and unprofessional in my opinion. Filled out guest card and leasing agent showed me a copy of floorplan. I asked if I could actually view an apartment and she acted if it was a real bother. She did finally consent to show me one apartment. It was extremely dated and in a deplorable state. Carpet was filthy, kitchen was dirty and I can't even begin to describe bathroom. Door to balcony was jammed and would not open. Asked several questions and got very vague comments. She showed me laundry room and the first thing I observed was a sign on wall indicating there had been some purse snatching in there. Asked to see pool and fitness area. Informed they were in process of being renovated and I cound not see. Another negative factor was that there were signs posted all over parking lots indicating that certain areas were prone to flooding during heavy rain. The exterior landscaping and grounds were quite attractive. I wish I could say the same for the interior. Needless to say I was very disappointed in my overall visit.

Wow...is this person sure she was at Hague Towers?? I live there and can't imagine that we're thinking of the same apartment building! Ok, I admit that the rental people aren't the greatest...but unless this person went there over 2 years ago, the pool area has not been under renovations. I was shown an apartment before I signed the agreement, and it was clean and beautiful-they were in the process of painting and carpeting it, which they do after each tenant moves out. The apartment that I wound up living in was likewise clean and freshly carpeted. Signs about flooding? Use a little COMMON SENSE...the apartment is in downtown Norfolk, which floods all the time! What do you expect the managers to do about it? Anyway, the apartment is expensive, but considering the level of security and the pool, it's well worth it!!

You must be mistaken! Hague Towers was in such high demand, with waiting list for new applicants that they did not make appointments. Sounds like your application must have been rejected.
