Weve been here for 13 months The apartments are a very nice size and maintanance is quick to respond. But the office staff is very rude. its kind of funny they put a notice on my door because I didnt realize I owed them 8 cents and a tow tag on my car because my 30 day tag was going to run out (hadn't yet). The parking is great for us but terrible for guests... their is never anyone in the parking lot but your guests will have to fight to get a spot on the street. They really should offer a visitors pass! Their is more than enough parking to do that! If someone pulls in the parking lot the way it is they tow your car in 2 seconds! They have 24 "security" if you want to call it that! What is he going to do chase you down with his car! West little Creek the road we live on is not bad its a pretty nice area all these people saying its not do not know what their talking about! I have walked to the mini mart on several occassions and never been affreaid or had anyone approach me, Another bad thing is alot of college students live here so people do play loud music at all times of the night and also you will catch them hanging out in front of the buildings. So if you have children or cant stand the noise this isnt the place for you! The pool is very nice and clean and their are life guards which is a real nice feature. But all in all its ok...Im sure you can find better for the price I will say that!

We just moved out of North Shore this month, and it was none too soon. The staff in the office are RUDE, and we got caught up in the "you didn't sign the correct paper" routine. We ended up paying two months extra rent because of it, even though when we signed the 60-day extension, the office staff KNEW we should have signed the Notice to Terminate. Be careful renting here--they enforce the lease and DON'T care if the tenant is happy or not. They are there to make money for their owners. We are losing our security deposit because we didn't clean to their standards or with their cleaning contractors--which is illegal. If you sign the lease, READ IT ALL and take note of the required paperwork. Tenants are noisy and rowdy, and the grounds are not anything special. Only thing is, it's close to ODU. If you are looking for a home, look elsewhere.
