If you live here, first of all, my condolences. When you move, MAKE SURE YOU GIVE NOTICE AND KEEP A COPY OF IT! We got screwed over because they claimed we never gave notice when we DID, and they took it to court without us even knowing and we now have debt collectors on our a** demanding months of rent from after we already moved out of there! I couldn't believe it, we were probably the only people living in that entire complex that WEREN'T a bunch of crackheads, we always paid our rent on time, never caused any problems, and that was the thanks we got. We didn't keep a copy of the written note we gave them when we gave our notice, so we had no way of proving we did give notice (they claim we just "moved out" and had no way to contact us so they went to court and now I have some wacko named "Tiffany" calling my house every week to demand payment THREE YEARS LATERRRRR. I hate Oakmont North with every fibre of my being. We put up with so much crap from this place - it was unsanitary, unsafe, never any parking spots, laundry room always broke down - had my laundry stolen, fighting and gunshots heard all the time, the dumpster was lit on fire several times, police with K-9 units busting down doors, even the Oakmont North people knew how bad it was because they'd post written notices on our doors about not opening your door if you don't know who's there because masked gunmen were robbing people. Stay in the laundry room while your clothes are being washed and you'll get propositioned by crack dealers - leave your laundry there and it gets stolen. I would hear women screaming and crying in the middle of the night banging on people's doors. Police tape would frequently section off parts of the complex. I wouldn't even go get my mail from the mailbox unless my husband was there because I'd get harrassed by the losers who stand around the parking lot blasting music out of their brokedown cars. Oh and the cockroaches were out of control - I actually got used to seeing cockroaches crawling out of every crevice and all over my walls, in my kitchen sink, bathtub, cupboard drawers. We'd bomb them, but they'd just be back the next day because everybody ELSE's apt was full of them too. Beware.
