There seems to be a problem with cars being broken into in and around this apartment complex. The apartment manager seems impethetic, but there is no plan in place to improve security that I am currently aware of. The square ft. is worth the money in rent, but the temperture controlled thermostat and incomplete maintenance in my apart force me to question if moving here was the right decision!

Since I am the manager at Southern Park Apartments I can say that a parking decal system is going back into place and for the breakins it seems that after evicting 2 gangs and lots of dead beats thats when these breakins took place. If people would take a look around Southern Park Apartments they would see that other apartments surrounding Southern Park are not doing what we are and that is trying to get the crime down and renovate each apartment and give people a nice place to live. We have been making leaps and bounds but crime is something that we have no control over when it is outside of Southern Park Apartments. We address each apartment in a timely manner. Each apartment is completly renovated for every new tenant and we address each problem quickly. If anyone has any questions at any time please contact me at 757-480-2632. We can walk the grounds and show you what we have done to what we are going to do. I have not had 1 complaint from any new tenant about not wanting to be at Southern Park Apartments.
