I dont know what I can say to possible new tenants that will make them run as far away from this place as possible. The staff is disgusting and rude and they treated me like a piece of dirt. My roommate and I accidently switched keys without knowing it (they are plastic cards - think hotel keys) and there is nothing on them to distinguish whose is whose. Anyway, my roommate lost her key and had to buy another one ($50) but what we didnt realize was that the key she had lost was really mine. I still had her key, but suddenly it stopped working. Of course this is a common inconvienence so I went to the office to have it recharged. They completely took that key away from me and told me it was stolen. They wanted me to pay for another one. I am an undergrad and I'm broke, I cant afford to dish out $50 on a key that was not lost or stolen in the first place. I called my roommate and we figured out what must have happened. I explained to the office the situation and they basically told me too bad. They refused to let me into my apt and when I asked what I was supposed to do they told me to get a sleeping bag and sleep outisde. Can you believe that''' I called Connie in corporate and she said there was nothing she could do. So I did what anyone else would do: I called my mother in Florida. She called Connie and that whole office screaming that she was going to slap a lawsuit on them for taking my key and refusing to let me in. I hated that place. And the key was just one issue I had. I could fill up this entire website with stories on how terrible this place is. The only thing this place has going for it is that it is only a walk away from ODU. But please please please do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to live. I'm sure the cochroach infested dorms would be a more pleasant environment to live in rather than this place.
