I find that despite the excellent living conditions, peace and quiet and the neighborhood, the management makes living there a trying experience.
Although I cannot verify with evidence, the staff seems often to lose payments that are placed in the after-hours box. Then, when you call to discuss late fees with them to see if they'd be willing to work with you, they are often rude. The office manager is especially nasty, and I attempt never to talk to her if I can avoid it.
The rent seems to go up yearly (even increasing over $200 dollars in the two years I have been there)...now that the economy is dropping, there doesn't seem to be a reason to keep increasing the rent as such. It seems like many of their apartments are going empty without new renters, yet the rent remains the same. They rarely if ever do things for their renters (occasional pool party) and the exercise equipment is outdated (not as much of a problem) and somewhat poorly maintained.
If possible, seek out other apartments with more pleasant staff...
