The apartments were built in 1984 which means the walls are paper thin. Our neighbors will just barly have their TV on and we can hear it through the walls. It's extremely annoying when all you want to do is come home at night and relax.

Also, the management is very illusive. They have their work hours posted on the leasing office door but they are never there when you call or need to report a problem. You always get voicemail. We moved in and our carpets were still SOAKING wet, we had to wait for the apartments to call the carpet people to come back and RECLEAN the carpets just to get the water out before we could move in. Not only that but our washer had no screws in it, the water heater had a leak that soaked through the wall and all the way into our closet, and there was enough dirt and dust left from the last tentant that we literally had to CLEAN floor to ceiling. It was not fair. It looked like the maintenance people had literally come in spray painted and left without cleaning or checking anything. Also it has taken them up to a week to respond to a maintenance problem. I'm not the type of person to be critical but when I'm paying rent I have certain expectations. I know I'm not alone because my neighbors agree with me. Our most recent neighbor actually moved in last month and moved out 2 weeks later. I don't blame him. He's lucky he had the extra couple grand to get out of his lease.

On one occasion my husband made an anonymous noise complaint because some of our neighbors were yelling outside very late at night. Evidently the managment TOLD our neighbors that it was us that had complained, which made us look like we were trying to get them in trouble when that wasn't the case at all. So much for confidentiality.

The parking is a nightmare, the street lights are always burnt out, and we've even woken up to someone trying to brake into our car. I'm totally dissatisfied with this place and had I known how it would be beforehand I would NEVER have moved to Crater Woods or Petersburg in general. Be warned.
