FIRST COLONY TOWNHOUSES

I remember when I was looking on apartment ratings for opinions about first colony and could find absolutely nothing so I am leaving this post especially for those interested in living in the townhome section of crater square.I am going to give the most honest opinion I can just based on my personal experiences. I wish I would have had someone do this for me prior to moving in so I am going to do it for the next person that is on the fence about moving here.
Not to say it is a bad place to live because it is not. The major problem we have experienced are the car and home break ins prior to now having a security company on-site at nights to patrol the area. The break ins seem to have subsided a bit since the security company has been here. However, there have been one or two break ins conducted while tenants were home during the day! Not sure what direction managment is taking with that but wanted other people to be made aware.
The apartments are definitely reasonably priced and spacious. You get two bedrooms and one and a half baths with plenty of closet space. The only thing is the walls are paper thin and you will hear EVERYTHING and I do mean EVERYTHING going on in the townhome apartment directly next to yours. I can sometimes even hear the neighbor's conversations with one another word for word without straining to hear and with my television set on at a pretty high volume. The parking situation is a joke. You are allowed one spot per apartment even with two working adults. This means that the other adult/car has to park in the visitor's parking spaces which are very limited. And if you don't find a spot in the visitor's spots, you are forced to park in the grass or basically wherever you can find a spot. In addition, some of the tenant's guests park in the spots designed for the tenants making it even more difficult to find a spot especially on the weekends and at night.
Other than that, I don't have any other complaints about these apartments but like I said I wanted to offer someone else an honest assessment of my experiences living here prior to their making a decision.
