I have been here since the first months it opened in 2005. The first year things were okay. I have such a long list of bad things that have happened to us here though.I have had two of my cars vandalized by "gang" activity, we hear guns shots regularly, the walls and floors are paper thin. You can hear EVERYTHING including the vulgar noise not music that will be blasting. Don't leave your windows open or pot smoke may come in. And just this past week my son during broad day light was attacked and beaten by 5 boys walking through the complex. They are allowing Section 8 and College students to live here and we were told they were not allowed. The owners of the complex need to take notice of how bad things have gotten.
I am trying to get out and I suggest you not think about coming here unless you are desperate! Oh by the way watch out for the tow trucks!! They will tow you in a heartbeat. I am saying these things as a warning if you have a family and you want them to be safe you may need to think twice about moving here.

I totally agree with this resident. I have the same complaint as well. I have been here since 2006, and it was great when Brenda Waller was the director. Ms Waller took pride in her work, and her heart was with the concern and well being of the residents. I to was told that my safety would not be an issue, and I didn't need to worry about the standard of living pertaining to the type/character of the persons wanting to rent from this complex. Since Brenda left or was forced to leave which ever I am not quite sure, the quality of these apartments has dropped tremendously. I have actually heard gunshots through the night, and seen the results later on. I along with other residents have been questioned by the police regarding the shooting because management failed to report the incident to the police. Other residents in that building were terrified because property management did not inform them of what had occured. Over two families left because of the horrible situations that has been arising at Lieutenants Run. The office is rarely opened, and when it is, the office staff all leave for lunch at the same time. I personally have seen the office door posted with the sign "back at 1:00pm, and the manager and assistant is gone for atleast 2-3 hours, this is a regular occurance. When they do decide to come to work, they enter your apartment unauthorized, replacing or fixing something without the residents knowledge, and then they charge you for it by adding it onto your rent, and if you refuse to pay it they send you a threatening eviction letter giving you so many days to pay before the attorneys force you out. So many negative situations, I do not have the space to publish them all. My family and I tried to get out of our lease but they fed us so much nonsense, we finally have decided that we will give the alloted time required to give notice of leaving, and then deal with it. I highly recommend that if anyone looking for an apartment to look elsewhere, run away as fast as you can from Lieutenants Run Apartments.
