I have been at the complex for about 8 months. The complex lacks sufficient maintenance in a timely manner. I have seem a lapse in the upkeep of the property since the last management, on any given day you can find trash in the parking lot and debris around the complex. The bathrooms are extremely small. The bathtubs are painted and painted very poorly. Renovations are second rate. The complex needs a total overhaul, starting with management and replacement of maintenance staff. The price of the rent is far more than the value of the unit.

I have lived in river road for the last 3 years and it has been a great place to live. The management stuff is very nice and professional, Maintance comes in a timely manner to fix any and evry problem that i every had. I do understand that it is a big trash problem but i feel that is do to the residents not picking up behind themsleves and i feel that maintance does thier best trying to make sure that the community looks nice. I have seem first hand the maintance picking up the trash, and i also seen the residents dumping trash on the ground after maintance has cleaned it up.

I have lived at River Road for the last 5 yrs and in response to the person who has live here for the past 8 mths I bet you are still in the community. Yes the management company has changed but the office staff has not so I am trying to understand the lapse in the upkeep of the property in the last 8 mths? perhaps untrue. The adjustment to the office staff has been the assistant manager became the manager. As far as maintenance yes it is taken a lot longer but have you ever asked why- Because I sure have.. They use to have 2 full time maintenance persons however, due to the recession they only have 1 and a partimer. So if basically 1 person is handling the entire community then how long do you think it will take for minor issues,cause I am sure they do the major ones first. As for the trash,it seems that maintenace picks up in the morning - see them every morning when I am leaving for work at like 8am but if everyone would not just dump trash out of their cars then we would not have this problem. There is also a big issue with people not living here coming here to visit and just tossing trash out. No one ever uses the trash cans. There is also a big issue of people from the matoaca coming on the community and just using the dumpsters. When you looked at the floor plan you knew the bathroom was small you should have tried somewhere else if you wanted a bigger bathroom duh.. Over all my expierance has been ok at river road but they do need more help in the maintencance dept and they also NEED FOR PEOPLE TO USE TRASH CANS AS NO ONE WANTS TO KEEP CLEANING UP AFTER GROWN PEOPLE. Oh if you have an issue with your tub have you ever talked to someone about it as I just renewed my lease and had mine fixed. Writing reviews just to say rude things is wrong and you should be ashamed. I am going on year 6 and i just Love river road
