I lived in Tanglewood in 2004 and the only reason I moved was because of personal reasons and not with issues with the complex. The complex was nice and quiet and clean. The only thing I hated about it then was that the rent was too high for the 1 bedroom and there was no W/D in the apartments nor was there a car wash area. You pay all of this in rent you should have some amentities other than a pool. I never saw anyone hanging out around the complex other than a few children every now and then. It wasn't a big issue. If I didn't move to Richmond I wouldn't hesitate being in Tanglewood. It's one of the best apartments in Petersburg. The other thing I didnt like about the complex was the way you had to use a laundry card. You had to put money on the card to use it. I found this very inconvenient because you would have to go to the main laundry center rather than the one by your unit to put money on the card. For those who have lots of clothes and shoes you would love their closet space. I had a huge walk in closet that could fit like 3 people located in the bedroom. There was also a smaller walk-in closet in the hallway that could fit 2 people comfortably. I had no bug/roach problems. No thin walls! I dont know how Tanglewood is now but I didnt have a problem with it then.
