Not for light sleepers

We have recently moved into a garden level apartment and have discovered that our ceiling was constructed from metal studs. When the people upstairs moving around, the sound is so loud that we have to sleep with earplugs! Of course it doesn't help that one of the tenants does laps in the bedroom and doesn't go to bed until about 3:00 or 4:00 am and the other one wakes up at 6:00 am every day. We have also had an infestation of rolly pollies and a few other insects. The office had our place sprayed and the rolly pollies have slowed down but I still have a few. I can't figure out where they are coming from.

Our three bedroom apartment is a good size and is in one of the better conditions of other places we have looked at. They replaced the carpet, painted, and replaced some fixtures but other than that it has not been updated. The spare bathroom looks like the toliet upstairs had a problem so they ripped the ceiling out and then did a quick fix drywall job and left it not very appealing. The walk-in closet in the master bedroom is an awesome addition as well as the multiple other closets. The kitchen is quite large but the cabinets and counter top are circa 1950's, burn marks included. You have to rent a washer and dryer for $40 per month that hooks to your sink in the kitchen because there are no hook-ups in the apartments only townhomes. We also have a not quite full size refrigerator which makes it hard to have more than 10 things. We asked for a full size and were told no.

The neighborhood is quiet even for being close to the interstate and seemingly pretty safe. The ground are well-kept but there are a few dog owners who don't pick up after their pets so you get a few suprises.

We looked at Pepperwood Townhomes and are EXTREMLY glad we didn't choose them because of the questionable people that hang out around them.

All-in-all I would say it's a good investment especially for heavy sleepers.
