Bad Maintenance and Bad Management

There several problems with this apartment complex. You are consistently being locked out of the front doors since the electronic FAB system is always down. Having access to the front door of your apartment building is not considered an emergency. They will make you wait over an hour (with your groceries in 95 degree weather) and still not come even though maintenance is only 50 yards away.
The security system is highly faulty. To being with, it will not alert anyone if your apartment is broken into or if your porch door (even when locked) is blown open during a storm. And if you are lucky enough to have it go off (and not alert any help) your neighbors will be stuck listening to it while you are gone for 10 hours during the day. If you call the 24 hour maintenance emergency line, be assured that you will NOT get anyone on the line to help. Your pets will also be tortured all day by the ear piercing alarm. If you want someone to respond, management suggests paying an additional fee to have your security service connected.
We paid a $500 pet deposit fee and when we signed the lease management told us that they can refund up to $250. Not only do you pay $50/month for a pet, but you will not get any of your deposit back even if you left everything in excellent condition.
This apartment complex also has corporate housing. Need I say more' Expect lots of noise and no help from maintenance or management. There is nothing they can do since it is corporate housing.
If there is a storm, plan on not having internet for over a month but still being charged for this service since it is included in your rent. Don t worry though; you can always use the computers over at the clubhouse. And if you need to use your own computer over there, don t expect the internet wall jacks to work. None of them do, but the staff will tell you they do just so they can watch you haul your computer and work over to the clubhouse. Then they will tell you to go around to every wall jack to check.
And if you have a package, a sticky note is placed on your mailbox outside. When that blows away, you have no way of knowing if you have a package. The office will not contact you to come get your item that has been sitting there for 3 weeks, luckily they are too lazy to return it to the sender so you still may pick it up (once you know it is there).
Overall, the maintenance takes forever to fix various things in your apartment. There is no guarantee that you will have anyone you can contact with a maintenance emergency. For the price you are paying you would expect better service and living conditions.

I've never had any problems with the electronic FAB system, or ever been locked out because of it, but the cable and internet connection does suck
